The DBV 2 cooling valve is a reliable device for discharging excess thermal power. It is used in solid fuel boilers that are not equipped with a cooling heat exchanger to lower temperatures. The valve mainly protects the thermal boiler against uncontrolled overheating.
When the valve reaches the temperature range. 97-100oC will automatically open the flow of cooling water from the water supply, which will directly cool the boiler to a safe temperature. The heated cooling water is discharged into the sewage system, and the valve closes when the temperature reaches below the limit value. The installation recommendation is to place the DBV 2 valve close to the boiler where the temperature reaches the highest value. Most often it is in the upper part of the boiler, near the hot water outlet. The valve can be mounted vertically or horizontally. When installing horizontally, make sure that the hot water outlet is directed downwards.
The knob located on the valve allows manual activation (similar to safety valves). The opening and closing of the valve is controlled by independent thermostatic elements, which in the event of failure of one of the elements will dissipate a sufficient amount of excess heat.
