The first Polish plug-in heat pump as standard

The electrical connection is extremely simple and quick. It comes down to connecting the external unit with the hydromodule using a dedicated cable supplied with the heat pump, and then plugging the hydromodule into the plug socket using a cable with a plug, also included in the set. This minimizes the risk of making errors when connecting and significantly shortens the assembly time.

The highest quality, Polish workmanship

DEFRO DHP PREMIUM is a monoblock air-water heat pump of the latest generation, created especially for Polish climatic conditions. Designed and manufactured in Poland by the largest manufacturer of heating devices with 100% domestic capital. The device was tested by scientists from AGH.

Construction of the DHP PREMIUM outdoor unit

  • Fan – forces air flow through the evaporator. In order to minimize noise, the fan blades have cutouts at the ends, the so-called “owl feathers”.
  • Evaporator The evaporator in the form of a lamella heat exchanger is designed to receive free thermal energy from the flowing outdoor air to the refrigerant (R290 – propane). This is possible thanks to the phase transformation of propane from liquid to gas at low outdoor temperatures. By evaporating the low-pressure refrigerant, it removes heat from the surroundings (atmospheric air), thereby cooling it.
  • Scroll compressor The gaseous refrigerant is sucked in from the evaporator by the compressor. It increases its pressure, which causes a simultaneous increase in its temperature. The compressor was mounted on a special “floating tray” separated from the structure using vibration dampers and thermally insulated. DHP Premium uses a top-class Emerson Copeland Scroll compressor dedicated to working with the R290 factor.
  • Condenser From the compressor, the refrigerant in the form of hot gas goes to the condenser in the form of a plate exchanger. Here, heat is transferred from the hot gas to the heating water. The condensing propane releases the heat previously absorbed in the evaporator and compressor to the heating installation.
  • Electronic expansion valve After releasing heat in the condenser, the cooled working medium in liquid form is directed to the expansion valve. Here the pressure drops and the temperature drops further. The expansion valve ensures that the optimal amount of refrigerant reaches the evaporator. The electronic expansion valve used in DHP Premium offers the greatest possibilities among solutions available on the market. Thanks to it, it is possible to obtain a relatively high COP in the full range of operating temperatures.
  • Safety valve On the water side, at the condenser outlet, a 2.5 bar safety valve is installed. It protects the system against refrigerant (propane) entering the heating circuit and additionally protects the plate exchanger against damage in the event of water freezing in the heating circuit.
  • Refrigeration circuit controller A controller responsible for the operation of the refrigeration circuit is located in a special chamber of the external unit.
  • The drip tray is used to collect and drain water from evaporator defrosting. It is made of stainless steel and thermally insulated. Protection against freezing is provided by a system of pipes with warm working medium. Thanks to this, an additional electric heating cable is not required. The above elements are placed in a housing dedicated to operation in extreme weather conditions. In order to stabilize work and ensure maximum quietness, the structure was designed and made of the highest quality materials. The casing is soundproofed and thermally insulated. The supports are attached to special mounting profiles so that it is possible to precisely level the device, even on uneven surfaces.
